Ferrite Core Rods are a kind of fixed inductors with single or multi layer windings . They are coated with varnish or PVC/UL tube. Widely used in power supplies, power amplifiers, filters, etc. they are demanded for their high reliability and high saturation current.

Ferrite Beads are a kind of inductors having center holes and are composed of ferromagnetic material. When placed onto a current carrying conductor it acts as a choke. Ferrite beads inductors are used to keep out unwanted signals or for decoupling on dc supply and some signal lines.

They are demanded because they work like inductors but work in those areas which are parasitic for regular inductors. At high frequencies, our ferrite core rod and ferrite bead inductors work like resistors instead of inductors.
